works great with my avic-d3, Using this with my avic-d3 deck. Can control my 7th gen ipod classic from my deck for music but not for video. Needs to be pre 6th gen. I use my 2nd gen ipod classic for video. Quick response,easy install. no issues. Excellent investment, This was a great purchase. The cable arrived in 2-3 days and works great. High quality sound for a great price. Only thing is is that the connection to the iPOD sometimes goes out and it must be unplugged and reinserted. A great buy. That being said, it just appears to be a joined USB charger cable for an iPhone, along with a 3.5 mm audio jack cable, and at a grand total of about 24" long (to be fair, I haven't measured it), it's really too short to be useful for anything at all. My iPhone won't even reach the seat in my Mercury Grand Marquis. I say put your money into a longer 5 or 6-foot iPhone charger cable and matching length 3.5mm audio cable. Muy Bueno, Es un aparato muy bueno, al principio tenía un poco de temor por que no conocía la marca pero después de instalarlo y probarlo puedo recomendarlo plenamente. Ahora estoy pensando incorporarle un sintonizador de televisión una camara trasera y un par de monitores para los recuesta cabezas. Nervous in the beginning, glad I decided on this one., I was wanting to purchase this because of the features and the price it was being offered for. I decided not too simply to save money and ended up receiving it for Christmas. I was really nervous reading about it and the reviews of people saying that it breaks right away and this and that. Well I installed it about 5 days ago and was very careful with my wiring, installation, and just overall cautiousness when handling it to avoid shock on the unit. I wired it up cleanly and got it installed and looking great. I held my breath while I turned the car on and to my surprise, it was much better than I expected. You have to remember this is Dual, not pioneer or alpine or any other $700 headunit. It's not going to be "Top of the line", but it does work more than enough for what it cost that I've seen so far. If it does break, I'll try to claim a warranty repair/replacement or upgrade. But it does seem to be working strong. Installed yesterday.....!!, We love this product. Outstanding. It was installed at Best Buy yesterday.....they did a great job and it works beautifully. We also like the blue tooth speakerphone/handsfree feature. not good, I have changed this unit 2 times in one year, first, the volume didn't work, the second unit freeze when playing and sound too and then continues playing normal

Haven't actually watched a DVD on it (seeing as how when I'm in the car, I'm usually driving!), but the installer said it works fine.
No GPS, but I already have one. The iPod feature I'm not so certain about. It takes a great deal of time to scroll through the various artists, playlists, etc. My remote was apparently not working when the installer removed the items from the box, so I'm not certain whether this makes a difference. it gets stuck from time to time..!, well nice price,, but something wrong when i try to watch dvds it takes a long time to open,, sometimes it gets stuck half way.,.not worth it..sorry. Dont waste your money or time, Well I just wanted an upgrade from my old monitor head unit, so I got this Dual one. The first one broke within the hour of my setup, the second made a loud noise and the fan was really loud, i was just listening to the radio it sounded like i was watching a movie for hours. This item is very cheap I doubt it last you more than couple of months. Just spend couple more dollars get something nicer. Not the best for sure., This dvd player sucks, it doesn't have stereo bluetooth so don't think about playing music using bluetooth, it doesn't have a usb port and the AUX 3.5 jack doesn't work. You have o hook up two huge cables to listen to your ipod(if your ipod works). I don't want to plug in my ipod every time I get in my SUV, that's when stereo bluetooth would be nice, or at least a usb port. I would recommend buying this if you don't mind all the extra hook ups and lack of extentions. I ended up getting a Pyle which has everything, is easier to install and will last longer. Good stuff, Got this item last month and it rocks, can't beat value & reliability for price. I do have a few little gripes.
Good:
This is a decent head unit with very good interface, screen clarity and DVD playback. Sound quality was very good considering I have no amp and I liked that sound options could be configured. I read reviews on other sites before buying and as advertised most of the functions worked. I was able to play DVDs, MP3 CDs, and regular CDs. The bluetooth worked ok for audio transfer (with Nokia 6230 & Blackberry Pearl), and handsfree mic sounded ok on receiving end. I like the piano black with brushed chrome look and feel. I did not install the backup camera, and did not get the tv tuner unit in time for the install, but the aux-in port works fine.
Gripes:
I haven't gotten the ipod interface to work yet though - i currently have an Ipod nano (3rd gen). The Dual logo displays on the ipod, but the head unit keeps saying "connecting..." I think it may be a compatibility issue with the nano firmware version. Will check this out, but I can use the 3.5mm in jack as an alternative, and the nano does get charged using the ipod jack connection. I had to use a by-pass for the parkbrake - had a little trouble at first, but resolved this. Would have liked this unit to come with Divx and have more functionallity with the bluetooth - does not read call address book on blackberry pearl correctly. Tends to get warm quickly.
Overall:
This unit was professionally installed in a '04 "Corolla". Installation was quick and almost pain free (by-pass to parking brake took some time - I do not live in a state with video restrictions). I would recommend this unit to any one. Its a good sturdy unit with lots of features, and I could not find another unit at lower price vs reliability concerns.

Bad ass! But more expensive than meets the eye, Well designed and does everything you want, but besides the price of the unit, expect to pay $450-$1200 for the additional wiring harness, modules, parts and labor to install. Wiring harness $80, Installation Gear $20, iPod Adapter $30, Antenna Adapter $12 and if your vehicle didn't already come stock with these modules: HD Radio Module $100, Satellite Radio Module $50, Navigation Module $300 and Back Up Camera Module $300. Don't forget labor, probably $275 a day to have a professional audio shop install. Good Value - Some Cons but overall satified - So far..., Some issues with this unit but overall it functions pretty well.
CONS
1 - Sub Woofer control keeps turning off, for no apparent reason. The memory seems to not want to keep in the unit. Every once in a while the sub and audio controls will be greyed out and cannot be turned on.
2 - The angle of the monitor can be set, however the unit never remebers the last position and resets every time I turn it on.
3 - Pretty difficult to customize, the unit has 9 or so accessories that can be attached but you cannot disable the buttons if you dont have these devices so basically it goes to a blank screen, ie: Navigation bluetooth controls.
5 - USB must be USB 1 because it takes a long time to read the flash drive.
6 - Ipod classic and 1st Generation Iphone seem to freeze when using the Ipod controls.
7 - The unit shut off errantly a few times at the beginning but has'nt after the first week. This may have been because of a power wire that was not adequate. After changing to a larger power wire it seems to have resolved this problem.
8 - Hard to navigate the DVD menus unless you have the remote.
Pros
1 - Awesome picture for the DVD, playback is flawless.
2 - Sound quality is great, 0 distortion.
3 - Sub and EQ controls rival $300 units with the same functinality.
4 - Geat buy for the money since this same unit sells for $750 at Best Buy. Slam dunk for the price, Very happy with this Kenwood product. The screen display is vivid, and
the controls are very easy to use. The potential for expanding with this unit
with add ons make it even more attractive.
I currently have the Garmin GPS navigation unit add on, and it works
flawlessly. So far so good., This is an item I should wait until I have used it for a few months to rate. Well I have it installed and so far everything is working as it should. I have one beef that I wish Kenwood would address.. They have a heavy muti plug on the back for the video that has a small 1/4 by 1/2 inch plug that plugs into a small piece of the circuit board in the back. Love it so far, Bought and installed a few days ago, really added some flavor to my speakers and car in general. After toying with it for a few minutes, I figured out all of the functions and I have it working to it's full potential. Great radio, great experience with seller.

Don't Wast Your Money, I have had two of these now, JUNK, CRAP, DON'T WAST YOUR MONEY. Neather of these lasted more than six weeks. The DVD/CD motor will not shut off when you have the Piece of Crap Radio On. When that happens you can not use the touch screen or even change the channels.
Warrenty is Useless when you send the player in you receive a rebuilt piece of junk worse than the one you had. BUY KENWOOD, OR MITSUBISHI STAY AWAY FROM THE PHASE LINEAR UV10. Again, JUNK, CRAP, PAPER WEIGHT, 100 Yard Rifle Target. Pleased Customer, Excellent Value, I have owned the UV10 for over a month and have every option installed. It is the best value out there for a GPS/Stereo/Bluetooth unit. The GPS add on is just excellent. There is no problem listening and navigating at the same time. Furthermore, it has 2 USB ports. I ran an extention to the one on the back into my ashtray where I keep a memory stick permanently plugged in. You can play all your music and movies off a USB stick. Sweet! Sound qulaity is pretty good. Added a powered sub and suddenly feel 16 again. The only thing I do NOT like about it is the wallpapers and buttons are pretty plain. I think it is set up this way for night driving... but it is boring. Also, the buttons on the touch screen are too small. My big fat fingers have trouble scrolling through the MP# songs. With that said... I still say this unit is a steal. It lets you buy a nice head unit and add on with time. I am pleased with the quality and the sound. I also REALLY like the NAV102 and bluetooth. It has every bit the sound and quality of my wifes Pioneer for a lot less dough.

I got this harness for my 2002 ford f150 and it works great! If you have a 2002, and need a harness. Great product, No issues. Just a great product. Wires were colored and named. The tips were pre-cut at a good length. It's almost like plug and play.
Perfect fit for a '02 Ford Escape. Dashboard, I bought this harness and wired it up to my aftermarket sony cd player. There wasn't an orange wire on the cd player for illuminator so i left it and now my dashboard won't light up. not all of the wires there, not all of the wires were there but i was able to make it work, it puts sound through the speakers and turns the head unit on, what more could you ask for. Did Not Fit 2010 F150, This product did not fit my 2010 Ford F150. I instead needed a $50 wiring harness also made by Metra. Check their website for more information. This JVC DVD Receiver Rocks, I have had this JVC KD-AVX11 for about 1-1/2 years. It rocks. I picked up the backup camera accessory kit. Let me start by saying, the screen is short from being too small, it is large enough to see all the details in movies and music videos. The bluetooth phone works great and its microphone is very good. The backup camera is cystal clear. I had one of those wireless ones before, this one blows them away. Even at night it is bright and clear. The Ipod connector is okay. The only problem with it is that you can't see more than one song at a time on the dispay. But what is amazing is the usb port. Connect a 20 gig usb drive with as many songs as you want and it will show up on the display in groups of 6-8 songs. Easly to scroll and pick songs. The only disadavantage is that if you have too much songs (more than 10 gigs)then it will take about 20 seconds to read the drive. Also, videos can be watched from your usb drive too. You will have to have a separate usb drive for video (cant read multiple media - music is dominant media). Hope this review help you. A M A Z i N G, Great Deal Great Product, I hooked up this unit with no real problems. I was able to use another switch to act like the parking brake so that the movies would work without my truck being in park. My Ipod works great with it and the sound is perfect. I would recommend this product.
