in dash only had it for about 3 weeks now it seems to be a good unit.only down side was when i take the detach front panel off and try to put it back on u have to make sure its right in the groove and that hard to do in the dark. also it wont allow u to adj the bass or treb on all of the eq settings. installation was easy.
Great first time indash video Wiring harness = 15 minutesInstall of the head unit = 30 minutesDVD playing Deadmau5 while driving down the HWY = Priceless!Beyond simple to install and the 3 screen is just fine for a first time indash unit. I have a 2001 Dodge Durango and the factory radio slipped out and the new unit went in with no issues. Parking brake bypass is simple just ground it BlueTooth antenna wire is not really touched and my iPhone 4s was able to sync and play audio and take calls from over 20ft away.Really happy and the price was in my range. I would highly suggest this for a first time buyer and someone just looking to do a simple upgrade.The device is BEYOND simple to use.Slow to load DVD's and CD's. MP3's play just fine and the front USB port had no issues with a 32gig thumb drive. MP4 video's were a pain as I'm still having issues with different codec's. VCD's work beyond well as well.
Decent This stereo is not top of the line but it does the job. The only downside is the screen size which was expected and the software which is pretty basic. I installed in my lincoln town car and it has very good sound. U can't configure treble and bass only switch EQ from rock to pop. Remote is big and hard to lose. It doesn't play mp4's but it does play data disc dvds. So u can burn 10 albums on a dvd and it will still read and play every song.

AMAZING HEAD UNIT! I have purchased several head units and this is an amazing machine! Has a rear connection for a back up camera. A huge remote. The pic is a bit deceiving but in a good way. I was delightedly surprised when I opened the box and seen the huge remote control. The buttons are easy to see and easy to use. The 80W per channel is very crisp and clear. I had it professionally installed and the installer stated the same unit or like unit would be about $300.00 to $400.00 in a department store.
Sorry but not worth it Sorry to say but not worth the money at all it takes forever to load anything it sounds like not a big deal but it really is. Specially the gig stick feature Aka USB. also mine came like all the audio was sounded like chipmunks. really. After a week it went away mesteriously.lol. The front face plate is very cheap and their is apsoloutly now way to ajust treb. Bass. Mids. Highs. Or any other function other than to make the audio go from back to front. Right to left not a joke at all I spent TONS OF TIME ON THIS. Every feature worked and the DVD display was actually very nice and clear. But overall I have to say I'm Sorry but I Don't recommend this product at all unless u really don't care what u r buying sorry for the bad review but I'm being truthful. Other than that amazon u r great.
Get what you pay for Purchased this a few months ago for my truck. At first I liked how everything worked good video sound etc. One thing I did not like was the fact when playing your ipod you have to manually switch to the next song thats on your playlist. Pain in the butt. The unit face plate also just broke on me so now the thing is pretty useless to me. The only thing I can do is listen to the radio.
Crazy good features for the money! Unbelievable features for $110 free shipping! I did not find any of the problems the other reviewers found. Every feature on my unit seems to work as it is supposed to. DVD Bluetooth phone and music FM stereo remote etc. I installed it myself in a couple hours. Looked harder than it was. I am sure there are better stereos for more money but this was only a little more than replacing my old OEM am/fm/cd with a used unit. Its a nobrainer! I would recommend this to anyone who is on a limited budget or is not terribly picky unless you really need more watts in which case you should get an external amp and speakers.
Lot's of features but not so good quality I like that it has lots of features 2 USBs AV play videos on the screen but some stuff is disappointing.First the screen is too small when you are selecting your songs. You can barely see the name of folders and songs. Your car should be stopped and you should get closer to the screen.The buttons sometimes doesn't work. You need to press it hard and the response is slow.Sometimes it doesn't read the USB drive and you need to remove and insert again.The GUI screen is very ugly. It looks like an computer prompt screen from the 80's.I don't recommend this product. It's worth spend more money for a good brand or buy one of the same price but less features.
Boss Audio I like Boss products alotbut it is hit or miss on how well a unit functionssome dont like the style so deem them cheap lookingthats not true but they do use multi buttons alot to minimise how many buttons appear on their units and until you are familiar with your unit you may go insane figuring out how it operates and where menus areadmittedly that is usually reserved for those who wont read instruction manuals.The picture is clear for a 3screen but look at where the stereo will be installedunless it sits high on your dash column the screen serves no purpose but makes a GREAT head unit for sunvisor and headrest monitors and is SOOOOOOOOOOO easy to bypass the satey feature it encourages people to break the law.A good solid unit if installed correctly and has not had a tough journey to you thru uncaring delivery agents.Think how concerned you would be if you dropped the box when in your possession..now imagine how many times that is handles and by how many people who are just moving freight and dont know the contents are delicate to a certain extent.Alot of problems happen in transit not a manufacture error or quality issue.Bottom line..good budget price DVD.Capable of add ons.

I've been looking for something like this for a long time. Pretty good I've had one of these in my 2003 Altima for about 18 months now. Haven't used it with any external attachments. Typically have used it to play MP3 files off a USB flash drive. In that regard everything has gone as expected except that the device apparently doesn't support all USB flash drives. I'm still trying to work out whether it's a voltage thing or something else but while I've had no problems using the stereo with a Memorex 12GB drive and a Corsair Survivor 16GB I cannot get it to work with an 8GB or 16GB SanDisk Cruzer Micro. The other con is that setting certain options e.g. the clock is not intuitive. Simple Review I've had the radio for over 4 years in a 2005 Silverado. I brought it after I got the truck and just paid the truck off a few months ago. It works great. Huge Disappointment I was so looking forward to this unit. I bought it primarily because of the price and it did everything I wanted it to do I thought. I've had it in my car for about 3 weeks and I wish I never bought the darn thing. Here's my biggest complaints.1 It is not userfriendly. I'm a pretty techsavvy guy but it took a long time to figure out the nuances to this machine.2 Is not compatible with steering column controls3 Even with the JVC iPod adapter the unit does not show the artist name oddly it shows the song name and album but not the artist4 If I want to play just my U2 files I have to scroll for about 3 minutes through all the musical artists arranged in alphabetical order5 Even with the JVC satellite radio adapter I have major issues with lengthy loading and the unit will sometimes just stop recognized the satellite feed and I have to turn off/on the entire unitOverall I would not recommmend this unit. superb input sources The JVC receiver does the right job the USB input shines here fast files reading compared to CD AUXIN useful for portable devices. better than stock as stated even though its only an LCD screen its a hell of a lot better than my stock head unit for the price. Replacement for Factory Radio Everything from packaging to instructions is excellent.Installation is a breeze even for the mechanically or electrically declinedUSB Source music issues have been described adnauseun so no need to use space on that.My only gripe is that I wish the unit had radio station tuning via a rotary knob rather than an up and down switch. I took a star for that.Remote control is great. I put a piece of velcro hook on the back of it and hooks to my headliner this location always protects the remote from Ultraviolet Damage and as a bonus I always know where it is.If you choose to purchase don't forget while you are at it to buy the wire harness adapter. Outstanding ! I have had 2 other JVC receivers since 2001 through 2009 before I bought this one. All of them have fulfilled my expectations. I used to go to the stores to try and compare among the available stock. I always picked the ones that fitted my budget sounded better were easy to operate and had the features that I wanted. That was years ago when it was easier to do that in person. I was not looking for another JVC specifically and did my research again. This time I had to find online the .PDF user manuals of some of my candidates to compare them because I could not test them all at the stores.In the end this brand and model was the winner. Here is whyI wanted/needed a Double Din format receiver the previous ones were single DIN. I have bought recently a Honda Accord 2000 that was using the factory installed stereo and I wanted to replace it and utilize the available space.It has a nice design and well distributed traditional push buttons that you can feel without looking at them unlike the newer trend of flat notraised buttons and touch screens.It reproduces MP3 CDs which I have a lot and WMAs which I don't like but it's not bad to have it. It has a USB port in the front for external media Thumbdrives or external HDDs.You can see the time clock at any time regardless of any other function taking place it has its own dedicated spot on the display.It only has 8 characters available for displaying song information compared to my previous ones which had 11. I thought it would be very bad but I performed a quick test with my previous one by placing my thumb on top of the last 3 characters and it did not bother me that much because it SCROLLS.The most important feature that I was insistently looking for was a better way to handle the EQUALIZER I'm so glad with this function on this model. You can adjust BASS MIDDLE and TREBLE with very simple steps unlike many other receivers including the ones I owned before. Nice sounds good USB far too limited So far so good. 20 minutes to install bought harness with it.Sounds good and has seemingly good reception. CDs load and play without issue. Settings seem easy enough to change.USB is nearly worthless25 character filename limitation 128 character tag limit. This means I can't copy music straight from music folder to a USB thumbdriveI have to chop the filenames and remove as much of the tagging as possible. This isn't 1998I don't know why JVC can't simply read long filenames like every other device out there while ignoring the parts of the tag it doesn't understand. On another note Data CDs don't seem to have this limitation. Perfect if only it fit This is a beautiful receiver that I have heard a lot of good feedback on. However Amazon claimed a double din would fit my 07 Ranger and I found out after getting it that it does not. I am very happy with it. Prior to purchasing I was a little concerned about the function of the buttons after reading some of the reviews. I have no problems whatsoever. IT SOUNDS GREAT TOO. Buy it you wont be disappointed. Buy @ Amazon! have'nt got to installing radio yet but i can comment on the fact that Amazon had the best price by a landslide. works great Works great so far. easy to replace previous radio and does everything we want. Obviously for less than $60.00 we weren't buying a high end stereo. Installed in 2001 Toyota Camry and so far so good Just finished installing it an hour ago in a 2001 Toyota Camry LE. Won't need the front trim piece for this car. Make sure to get the Scosche pocket adapter to make it fit and the Metra or Scosche wiring adapter. I used the Metra wiring harness and it matches up exactly with the wires. Had some issues with the fader not seeming to work but I may have hooked up the wires wrong so I have to check it. Sound is just as good as factory and the radio tuner is just as good as factory if not better. Read instructions on the clock setting but basically just hold the main button until it goes off then hold it until the clock flashes and use the directional buttons to set the time. Great stereo for a great price! I bought this Pioneer deck to replace my pioneer premier deck I had that finally died almost 13 years old. Although it is not as high of quality or as full of features as the $800 deck it replaced this deck the DEH1200MP gets the job done and is great. I like that it has RCA jacks 1 pair for an amplifier and has the AUX plug in the front. The remote is helpful too. The faceplate is nothing fancy but I like that it is very easy to navigate and use especially the big volume knob. The deck works great and sounds great too and for the price you won't find a deck with all the features RCA preouts AUX input equalizer etc.. I would definitely recommend the deck to anyone looking for an inexpensive way to get good sounding music in your car. Pioneer DEH1200MP The Pioneer DEH1200MP Bought this unit for the CD player for my wife the old player wore out. Installed this unit three and a half mounts ago it died on use. No power nothing works on it. Bench tested it and yep dead as a door nail. It has a one year warranty but as we all know these warrantees aren't worth the paper there wrote on. There is a factory authorized repair shop here in KCMO but by the time you run back and forth to the shop it always ends up costing more than the unit's worth. The same goes for sending it to Pioneer and the always seem to have an excuse for not fixing or replacing it. I'll end up repairing it myself that is if the main IC's did not burn up. If they did then the unit will go in to my electronics scrap pile I'll scrap out parts to fix some other piece of electronic junk. Wouldn't you know it made in Thailand! Looks like Japan outsources labor too. use the remote This mp3 player has the eject button right next to the bass/treble button. sometimes you hit the wrong one and the cd comes out. Looks good at night but in the daytime you can bareley see the display. Middle of the Pack I purchased this item as a refurbished item not brand new. Deck came from a private individual well packaged and missing only the factory manual the manual is readily available online though through Pioneers website or a search online using the model number.I found the interface to be easy to work with but the buttons on the deck are fairly small making it a little hard to change stations/settings while on the move. The remote makes things easier and is the only way to use ATT or attenuate for quick turn down of radio deck does not have this option.This radio also does readily support any more than one amp if looking to expand/improve your system. With one RCA preout you are forced to split your signal not usually recommended if you want to hook up more than a single amplifier. As far as custom audio setting go it did not have as many options to customize the audio as I expected there would be. You get a HIGH MID LOW adjustment option with LOUD control but not much more than that.The radio would make a great replacement over an older model car radio especially when accompanied with quality aftermarket speakers. Easy install decent product I ordered this radio to replace the stolen radio from my Jeep Wrangler. I hadn't planned on replacing it at all but my wife noticed this item as a special and forwarded it to me. I couldn't beat the price so I jumped on it. I picked up a Metra wiring harness kit at my local auto parts store and used the instructions from the box to do the install wiring up the radio first solder people don't just twist and tape or pinch them together. Took me about an hour to solder up the wiring harness and install the radio. Sounds great looks great and I had the presets and clock set up without picking up the manual. Unlike one other review posted here I found the interface to be intuitive. Great item.! When I received this item i think it's beautiful and awesome! But I need to say that the lines in it is not enough sometimes. I have a 2000 Jetta and I installed it into my car. I still need to pay 70 dollars to install it while buying some parts that are necessary. But after all the quality is good and it looks great. It's a good choice if your car can just simply install it in. Great Car Stereo ESPECIALLY given it's price whoa I've bought JVC stereos for about 12 years now I think that this is the fourth unit I've had from them. I had all of them in my old pickup then transferred this one into the pickup I just bought. The cd player on all of them died after about 3 years.So why the five stars when the units have died as they have? First once I had the first one installed the rest of them hooked up using exactly the same mounting gear slide the old one out slide the new one in. Bingo you're done. Next each time I've replaced them they've been seriously cheaper seriously better features to boot. The first one I bought cost me $250 plus tax of course it was just a player with a remote. By the time I got this one I bought it for like $80 it plays mp3s or whatever else you throw at it and it has aux input so I can plug in an mp3 player how great is that? For eighty bucks! Too cool for school.It sounds great it's pretty much bombproof and idiotproof just accept that you're going to buy a new one every three years and you're going to want to anyways to get the latest/greatest features. I'm assuming that by the next iteration the thing will serve you coffee and scratch your arm if you hold it close enoughIt may be that the units go south due to my using them constantly and using them hard playing dirty cds on them can't help their laser setup and they've been in pickups and bounced around a lot because I do use the truck as a truck it's not a suburban toy. cool Best stereo I've ever bought I bought this for the front aux input. I can play my android phone through it so I can listen to Pandora Radio through my car speakers I can hook my Kindle to it and listen to audio books from Audible.com over my car speakers and American Gods sounds incredible this way btw! Plays burned data cds like a dream so you don't have to mess with an ipod though it plays that too which is fantastic. The little remote comes with a battery and is perfectI stuck it with a velcro poster holder to my parking brake so I don't have to reach all the way to the dash to change the track or volume. The settings are exhaustive yet refreshingly simpleno research required for how to adjust the sound just right. It detaches from the dash really easily to keep the city thieves away. Love the button that instantly turns the sound way down in case you need to answer the phone or hear someone talk. My only complaint would be that the faceplate doesn't come with a case. Works Great!! Make stereo installation a breeze!! It works great on my Honda Accord 2002 LX and make the installation easier with the JVC KDR530. A MUST HAVE Completeley takes all of the gueess work out of wiring a radio. Sat at my table matched up the wires taped them up went to the car plugged it in and was ready to go. Probably saved me an hour on installation as it eliminates the need to cut factory wires. Works great for 99 Civic EX It does exactly what it's supposed to. I have no complaints whatsoever. If you need to install a radio in a Civic you can feel safe buying this. great Very good price the product was exactly as advertised and arrived even earlier than I was expecting. Worked greatDashboard was a bit more stubborn Honda dashboard wasn't as cooperative but this harness worked great to attach the aftermarket radio.This item requires butt connectors or soldering and heat shrink. Good connector but needs modification if you want to use steering wheel controls The connector/harness I received was fine but I had to modify it to maintain steering wheel control. I had to remove one of the extra pins/wires and reinsert into pin 3 of the connector. This is pretty easy and worked fine but it would have been nice to have it work out of the box. I used this connector along with the Metra Axxess ASWC Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface and a Clarion CX501. I installed this in my 2002 Acura MDX. Radio works great and steering wheel control is flawless.An alternative to modifying the connector/harness is splicing into the steering wheel wire ahead before it goes into the Acura connector but that defeats the purpose of having a harness. There may be other Metra harness that have steering wheel control for acura but I didn't find them. Works for my 99 Honda Civic Purchased this item for my 99 Honda Civic EX. This is the one that fits. Metra 701721. I had purchased the Metra 701720 but it was wrong. This one works great for plugging into factory harness and installing new stereo. Just solder or wire nut the connections and your done. Worked Great Worked perfectly in my 04 Honda Civic LX. Had no issues in installation and the colors matched up to the receiver wiring harness. Makes installing stereos a breeze I installed a new stereo in my 2000 Honda Accord with this harness and it was a breeze. The wires were a little long for my liking so I cut them shorter and soldered them to the stereo harness. From there the install was as simple as unbolting the dash pulling out the old head unit plugging this one in and putting the dash back together.. maybe 10 minutes at the most.At this price I'd feel dumb for not getting it. If the stereo ever breaks or gets stolen at least I can go back to the stock unit. Read more... For the price it has a lot of features.Here is my list of troublesAll the wiring diagram / installation instruction is the printed sticker on top of the unit. That's it. No separate description explanation of what and where each wire connects to. Among other things there are three wires SWKey1 SWKey2 and SWGround with no explanation of what it does or how it can be used.Tech support is of very limited quality. Request for the information on several wires was a single one line reply for an incomplete information. Repeated requests for the clarification has not been answered.Button design on the remote needs more work. They should really try and use it before making the product. You may need dash kit for this as my bracket on my Mazda 2002 Protege did not work well and the dash kit supplied had the the head unit sticking out. I do not have an amplifier and only two door speakers and the sound is low. Good Unit After careful review I decided to purchase the Pyle PLDN74BTI through Amazon for installation in a 2007 Ford F350. The installation went ok.. I purchased an installation kit in advance and had to modify it to fit this stereo but once I did everything else went well. I agree with other reviewers that the user interface could be more appealing perhaps and should exclude items that the radio doesn't have i.e. navigation TV etc.. This receiver does not provide the same quality of sound the Kenwood receiver does specially at high volume.the Bluetooth works wonderfully it connects to my Android as soon as I turn on the car I can use voice recognition apps on my android through the mic. Call quality is definetly pretty good and all the people I have called tell me that quality on their side is good as well. I can also play music over Bluetooth from my phone which is a big plus. I can also play videos from my phone or youtube and have the sound come from the receiver. Was Skeptical But this blew me away I put this deck in my 2003 Toyota Corolla CE in 2008 and it is very nice. All of the inputs and outputs work flawlessly. My primary reason for getting this was Auxin and it works smashingly. I adapted the RCA to phono and put the headphone out from my phones and mp3 players without incident. The installation was super easy and the manual is very detailed. Every wire is labeled and easily recognizable. This is a perfect deck to put in if you are a novice car modder.The power output is very nice without getting distorted. It is very loud and you have to watch that you won't blow your speakers if yours are not rated for 45w. My car has 2x5.5s in the front and 2x6x9s in the rear and this drives them beautifully.It will recognize mp3 cds and dvds. It will play all it's supported file types off of any of the media it can load. It has to scan usb devices every time it starts up or they are plugged in so you are advised to leave that to thumb drives. The sd card slot however doesn't have to be rescanned unless the sd card is taken out so a very large sd card can be loaded up with lots of music. It supports SDHC and micro sd with an adapter tested with 8 gig sdhc. If you have a multipurpose thumb drive music data pictures movies it may not always work. Some files that could run on windows will trip up this deck and have it just not recognize your files. I haven't tried it with any drives with multiple partitions.I have taken an audio book I own and ripped it to mp3s then loaded them all up on one DVD and this played just fine and kept my place between car start/stops. Somehow is built better than Pioneers universal harness. Has an added plastic cover for the fuse underneath plug on head unit that doubles as a way to get the plug out of the head unit the Pioneer ones are a huge pain to remove sometimes. Durability of wires is double of Pioneers harness and twice the gauge. NOT Universal This UNIVERSAL harness is Not for all Pioneer Units. They should give more detailed discription of this Harness and what Pioneer unit it fit's on. Universal is not universal As has been commented on by others and sadly too late for me to investigate prior to ordering but the connector is not compatible with the Pioneer unit I have. Fit perfect fit perfect into my stereo. No issues if you know what part you need. dont just guess. came with a guide to line up the wires and came here 2 days before it was supposed to. Universal doesn't fit all Wrong plug didn't fit my DEHP2000. Now I have a plug I don't need so its going into the garage junk drawer where extra parts that will never get used hang out. I'm glad it was only a few dollars though. Aside from poor application information A perfect match for the stock Pioneer harness that comes with a bunch of Pioneer units. Wiring colors are dead on pin assignments are exact. Too bad they didn't take the time to do references to the Pioneer p/n or even try to tell buyers which Pioneer units they are exact replacements for. They'd have a TON of business. I did it by careful evaluation and a bit of guessing it should be much easier to research!For the record it is an exact replacement for the F700BT Nav System and DEHP590IB head unit. Both of these share this same harness with a ton of other units. I'll let some salesman or eBay seller research them all. Someone who has time should!That said don't pay Pioneer $50 or more for this. Don't pay eBay'ers $25+. I bought several just so I could have them onhand for when I eventually move on to newer equipment and want to be able to offer my electronics to new users they way I got them when I bought them. SO much easier than trying to reuse old stuff. Not so Universal I bought this Harness thinking i was gonna hook up my Pioneer Radio but the main receiver plugs where on the opposite side so now it's just pointless to have & i dont no what todo with it.
