Check Kenwood's site carefully before ordering for your stereo I was considering the purchase of a new car stereo and decided to check out Amazon too before ordering. This external microphone also turned up in the search results since it specifically includes the model in question Kenwood KDCBT648U. I found a great deal on a refurbished unit elsewhere and then proceeded to order the microphone from Amazon based on the listing. Once both packages arrived I found that my unit does not in fact support an external microphone despite the description saying that it FITS ALL THE LATEST KENWOOD BLUETOOTH UNITS.I cannot speak to the quality of the microphone itself as I was not able to evaluate it but double check compatibility as the listing is misleading. Unfortunately now I also have to exchange the stereo too as all of the negative reviews were related to the builtin bluetooth microphone. I thought that I was addressing that issue with this microphone only to find out that I should have never trusted a third party seller's description.

great buy This was a great buy for me i replaced the stereo in an old dodge truck with this and there is no comparison. It even made the old crappy speakers sound alot better i still replaced them with good ones though. Wired it in turned it on worked like a charm. blue lighting is cool though there is no wire for the dash lights dimmer. the plug in wires for the Iplug are the same as normal a/v cables so you dont have to use the cable provided. I own a cable with the same plug ins that have the male end built into it and it works great. no problems sounds great i dont even need an amp with my system would recomend to friends.
did not last this radio does not pick up stations very well and lights quit working you can't see the time station or anything poor quality.. would never buy this brand again took out of car installed Pioneer and it picks up all stations as it is suppose to plus I can see what station I have on and what time it is.
you get what you pay for This was a serviceable unit and I had no complaints until the CD player died after about a year and half of use. It won't play any CDs not even store bought ones. I won't be buying another Dual to replace it.
Was great for a few years and then it stopped working I wish I had read more reviews for this radio. If you want something that lasts this isn't it. It worked fine for the first 4 years and then it worked some days and not others and then it completely died.
Awesome buy I was a little concerned with purchasing this item because of the low price but took the chance and I'm glad I did this item works great. It could use an amp. but with stock speakers its fine. Buyers don't be afraid.
DEFECTIVE MERCHANDISE I bought 2 of these radios from the deep discount and both were defective beyond repair. Unfortunately for me since I did not have the radios tested before the return window expired I got stuck with this junk. BEWARE WHEN BUYING FROM THIS RETAILER they seem to be selling factory rejects.
Worked fine until its death at age 4 yrs. I had this player installed at Best Buy in 2005. It worked fine for 4 years then caught on fire and died. The electrical fire appears to have sparked inside the actual box. It burned itself out in about a minute. It worked fine up until its death. I mostly used it with my iPod transmitting the signal to its radio. I have no idea how to directly connect an iPod to the box as it suggests. I was never able to do that. I believe you need additional equipment other than the stereo and iPod to do that. The stereo would sometimes have trouble functioning in extreme temperatures both hot and cold.
Works okay Cons The light on my stereo stopped working so I can't see track numbers radio stations or the time. The ipod connection is outside the unit so its kind of bulky I had one before from best buy that had the connection on the face plate. This last one may be the people who installed the player but the radio stations rarely come in usually it's static fortunately I use the mp3 player and ipod connection most.
worst radio I have ever owned! This is the worst radio I've ever owned. The AM band tuner is terrible it can't distinguish between 2 stations at 1240 & 1260 with the 1240 transmitter about 10 miles away and 1260 about 30 miles away 1240 covers up 1260. FM band reception is poor. My new unitreplacing the Dual 6820 pulls in many more stations clearly. I bought this unit 4 1/2 years ago the CD player part just crapped out. For comparison the stock radio in my 98 Prelude lasted 7 years. The faceplate lights are way too bright objectionable & dangerously so I'm 62 not 16. Engineering failed to include a headlights on dimmer here so I used 3 thickness of paper to block the light. Power is barely adequate to drive the stock 6 speaker setup my new replacement will rattle the windows for less money than I paid for the Dual. I repeat This Dual 6820 is the worst unit I've ever owned so much so that I will NEVER buy another Dual product.

Lo barato sale caro Producto de muy mala calidad el aux en el frontal solo suena una cornetasubir y bajar el volumen en la pantalla tactil es muy dificil ya que no hace muy bien contacto ademas el cable que trae para el ipod no es para darle total funcionamiento el que trae es el de tres rca video audio L y adio R con plus 3.5 no es el cable de ipod. Es preferible poner un poco mas de usd y comprar un producto de mejor calidad.
SOSO Okay for the price. Sometime playing a cd I can hear the radio. Maybe it was hooked up wrong great for the price. Place movies when it wants. I would buy again in a rush.
Nice Deck I have been using this deck for a couple weeks now and it has performed all the duties that I bought it for. I can connect through the bluetooth in my iphone and listen to music through my radio wirelessly as well as use the speakers to hear my phone call. The only negative about this specific item is the bright blue color it can be distracting at night while driving.
a big thumbs DOWN This is my second unit after T had to send back the first one due to a broken wire at the back of one of the connectors right out of the box. I'll be sending back the second unit now because the internal cooling fan whines for a minute when its first turned on in the morning and now it randomly switches from radio mode to usb mode.The pros Its a fine boat anchor and a great way to throw away that extra money.The cons 1The units interface is complicated and the operating manuel ls lacking. 2If you have a chevy pickup or any chevy that has the same dash as my 2001 silverado does you will find that this unit's screen will not clear the shifter with the vechicle in PARK. 3While playing a IPOD shuffle the unit display's the songs on the screen by their FILENAMES in the ipod makeing it very difficult to find that song your looking for. 4unit has basic the bare minimum adjustments fadebalancetreblebass. None of which control the sub preout. 5To my knowledge this unit has basically nothing nice to display while it plays mp3s. Stare at the folders and files or turn off the screen seems to be the only 2 options.

Keep Shopping I bought the Dual DVDN9131 at Walmart on 12310. Today is 3610 and I just shipped it back to Dual to be fixed or replaced. The unit worked fine when I first installed it but now when I try to use the blue tooth to make phone calls people cannot understand what I am saying. My voice is Garbled like I am talking under water or something. I contacted Dual customer support and they told me to ship it back for repair or replace. I don't know what to expect from here I have never owned any Dual products before. This radio seems to be a nice unit I just hope they take care of the problem in a timley manner.
piece of junk and amazon is not worth buying from ever again now i bought the dual 9131Dual XDVDN9131 4X50 watt with all the bells n whitles nav. bluetooth. 7 in screen ipod connector the piece of jjunk 1 month later doesnt turn on the creen doent open or when it does its a black screen my friend had the same problem with a dual head unit to our knowledge dual is not good to buy for anyone and to use amazon to get it i the lat thing anyone hould do they r horrible for customer service im done will never buy from them again or buy dual electronic save urself and dont ever use amazon ill be seeing amazon in court over this bs..
Could be better At first it was ok for the price but after a month the glitches started presenting them selfs. While listening to the Ipod it will randomly loose connection and say connecting. The GPS was good. Had problems with the dvd player.
Good with the bad The main thing I liked about this unit was how it looked. With that said I read all of the reviews and still bought it. The best thing about this unit is the GPS. It works flawlessly. I have even found shorter routes that I would have never known about using the navigation. Even when not using GPS it will tell you when you are going over the speed limit. Kinda of annoying at first like riding with your mom always telling you to slow down but has saved me from more than a couple of speeding tickets. My main grip about this unit is the USB feature. Started having problems with it not long after installing it. For some reason it gets stuck in the INTRO mode when using USB or Ipod for music. Major FAIL for this unit. This is the main feature as far as I'm concerned. No doubt that I probably just got a faulty unit but still in this day & time this should never be an issue with any headunit. USB and Ipod play back should be up to par on any headunit by now. So for this reason alone I will not be buying any more Duals.Other problems that I could not live with very poor radio reception & video quality not too good.
Partially Satisfied Beautiful product I had it professionally installed. 1st week was wonderful. Now there seems to be a problem with the screen flashing & then fading to white.
Think harder When the Unit work is ok a best. It really difficult to navigate I Pod folders from the screen or the remote and the search function is a joke.It does its job in other departments.This unit died on me after about six weeks of operation. The screen just decided one day it did not want to function anymore. Currently going through the RMA process with DUAL and it shows what type of company they are. They expect you to spend your money to ship one of there defective products back to them so they can fix what was not right the first time. Never again will I buy DUAL equipment.
Awesome Head Unit!!!! I just installed this head unit last week. And to tell you the truth it's working normally with no difficulties. I see some comments that are saying after 3 months to a year it starts to have issues. I guess I'll have to wait to see what happens. The best thing that I like about this unit is that it shock absor I live in New York and the roads are not that good pot holes bumps and etc. The unit holds it's on. So far so good it is too early to go full blast we see what happens after 3 months to a year I will post the verdict.
Super Device The Dual XDVDN9131 is fantastic. I installed it in my 2000 GMC when my radio began to give me problems. I am seldom pleasantly surprised by the quality of electronic devices however this multimedia receiver has performed exceptionally well. The navigation system is very accurate and easy to use. the DVD CD USB IPOD and Radio systems work exceedingly well are easy to use and have tremendous feature functionality. I highly recommend this product. In fact I am thinking of replacing my OEM radios in my 2005 Corvette and my 2009 Jeep Wrangler with this device.
Couldn't be happier! The vendor had really fast shipping. It showed up 2 days before the projected delivery date.I love this unit. The sound quality is awesome even before upgrading my speakers. My iPhone bluetooth connects automatically with out a hitch each time I get into the truck. I'm told that the included external mic reproduces sound well enough that I sound pretty natural during a call without straining or having to holler even in my noisy diesel truck.The backup camera feature is good I especially like it when hooking up a trailer. I'm now successful first time every time. It's a bit hard to see in direct sunlight but that would be the same with any brand's LCD screenThe Nav feature won't compete with a top of the line Garmin but one of those costs more than this entire unit and this one gets the job done just fine.I've been warned by those in the know that the flip screen won't last because it's not as robust as the one on a Kenwood. Most of the time I listen to my iPod set on 'random' or one or two radio stations so I just leave the flip screen retracted while I'm driving taking the vibration stresses off of the screen mechanism.All in all I'm very pleased with my purchase.

Phase Linear UV10 MultiMedia Receiver Don't Wast Your Money
Don't Wast Your Money, I have had two of these now, JUNK, CRAP, DON'T WAST YOUR MONEY. Neather of these lasted more than six weeks. The DVD/CD motor will not shut off when you have the Piece of Crap Radio On. When that happens you can not use the touch screen or even change the channels.
Warrenty is Useless when you send the player in you receive a rebuilt piece of junk worse than the one you had. BUY KENWOOD, OR MITSUBISHI STAY AWAY FROM THE PHASE LINEAR UV10. Again, JUNK, CRAP, PAPER WEIGHT, 100 Yard Rifle Target.

Excellent Value, I have owned the UV10 for over a month and have every option installed. It is the best value out there for a GPS/Stereo/Bluetooth unit. The GPS add on is just excellent. There is no problem listening and navigating at the same time. Furthermore, it has 2 USB ports. I ran an extention to the one on the back into my ashtray where I keep a memory stick permanently plugged in. You can play all your music and movies off a USB stick. Sweet! Sound qulaity is pretty good. Added a powered sub and suddenly feel 16 again. The only thing I do NOT like about it is the wallpapers and buttons are pretty plain. I think it is set up this way for night driving... but it is boring. Also, the buttons on the touch screen are too small. My big fat fingers have trouble scrolling through the MP# songs. With that said... I still say this unit is a steal. It lets you buy a nice head unit and add on with time. I am pleased with the quality and the sound. I also REALLY like the NAV102 and bluetooth. It has every bit the sound and quality of my wifes Pioneer for a lot less dough.
