  • Nice system.. I really like it there are a few corks that I am trying to figure out like the volume. when it sits for a minute I go to turn it down and it goes to the max volume. I also having a hard time trying to figure out the navigation system only because the is no instructions on it. That is my two complaints. everthing else is all that i really like it and I am glad I bought it.
Well worth it for the money and quality This unit looks great quality and operation for a fraction of what other brands sell for. Not being a professional installer I was able to replace the existing RV's single DIN cassette stereo with this great looking double DIN unit without much fuss especially that my RV's dash has access panels over the dash layout making it a snap to install and wire. The BT work great as well as the NAV features.
Do Not Buy This Unit! I bought this on Amazon because of their return policy. After doing a lot of research on this radio and finding most were negative I figured it may be worth a shot if I had it installed by a pro. I paid a professional installer to install it as recommended by the few people who had good things to say about this radio. First this radio is NOT a standard DoubleDin radio. Any installer must fabricate a faceplate to make it look 'decent'. Second all of the posts that complain about the volume spikes are true I chalked that up to improper wiring thinking the users had wired the radio incorrectly. While driving for no reason the volume spikes to maximum. FOR NO REASON. I almost got into an accident that is how scary it was. Once that happened 10 minutes after installation and $151.00 for the install later I went back and had it taken out! This is a driving hazard! Some features that should be mentioned is the Bluetooth streaming. You cannot stream or use the telephone while using the GPS. So if you are on the phone prepare to get lost! The quality of the Bluetooth streaming music AWFUL. Plugging the iPhone directly into the aux port gave much better results. The sound of this unitcompared to my stock radio is just awful! There were a few reviews that stated it is impossible to see the screen during the day..they are 100% correct. The only positive note about this unit is that it uses iGo as the GPS. It boots fairly quickly and seems accurate.

    • MOSFET 50 Watts x 4 peak power with three 4V RCA preamp outputs for system expansion

    • Great InDash Navigation and DVD Player Great head unit and the installation was actually easy for the amount of items I was installing. Marked down because no cage to install item. I opened up my dash so it would allow room for the double din but I didn't have a cage to install item. I would recommend picking up the Pioneer Double Din Installation Kit at the same time. Makes installation so much easier and you don't have to tear apart your entire dash to remove your head unit.I would recommend getting the rear view camera XM adapter and the IPod Cable as well. Just the rear view camera and not the Parking Assist unless you have a few hundred more to splurge. For me and my small car the camera alone is enough. Also to find the reverse indicator wire simply find the wire going back to the reverse lights in the wire harness that you are going to pass with your camera wire and your XM Adapter wire and splice in like you do with the parking brake wire. For those not in the United States or driving off road or installing into the rear of a vehicle like a limo or camper trailer you can find videos on Youtube to bypass the parking brake by moving the mute wire and it works. If you are planning on bypassing this so you can watch movies while driving know that this is illegal in the United States.
Best nav unit out at the current time
Won't regret this buy I didn't buy this off of Amazon but this is for those of you who are contemplating on buying this. I would have to say that it's definitely worth it. I've only had this unit for about a week but here are my thoughts so far. I bought this unit for my 2011 Scion tC and it fits perfectly and looks great. I even made the buttons match the interior of my car. There is very little glare for the sun and the unti automatically dims when the head lights are turned on. I love the iPod intergration easy to change playlist or change/search for songs. It also displays the album art which I love. One thing I don't like however is if the title of an artist or song doesn't fit it will not scroll through. The Pandora app is awesome too. Just plug your iPod up and start streaming. Bookmark artist thumbs up or down songs straigh from the unit. If you don't have an iPhone or iTouch I would probably look into a different unit. This one is pretty much centered around them. The Bluetooth works pretty good great sound quality. During a call it also keeps a pop up menu open to easliy end a call or change the volume. If you dont like the menu you can also miniamize it. I havent't used the navigation to get anywhere yet. One thing I have noticed if you have the map up while driving and pass by a grocery store or gas station the map shows icons for these and others I found that pretty cool. Another feature I like is the ability to set your own splash screen. Especially since this unit takes a little while to start up. I'm usually out of my parking space and driving by the time this thing starts up. That is the only thing I dont like about this unit so far. It also has a traffic tuner and built in HD radio tuner that I haven't tried yet Mostly listening to my iTouch or Pandora. If you're like me and like to do a lot of research before a big purchase youtube this unit. There are tons of vidoes about the things this unit can do. I'm also more than willing to answer any questions.
Piece of junk What can I say I had high expectations for this model. Dont waste your money. You need a GPS? Use your phone the amount of technology is here is silly compared to what you can do on your smart phone. You need to pay for map updates the map is slow the search screen is horrible to put in a new location.Wish I could have my money back and spend it on something else. In this day and age I expect something of much higher quality. To hook up your iphone you need to buy an additional $50 cable.
Overall good unit but a bit buggy. I had this unit installed several months ago and my overall impression of the unit is good however there are several issues that pioneer needs address in firmware updates.Negatives1 As with most units the voice command system is mostly useless and not worth your time.2 The voice recognition updates every time you start the vehicle system when connected to an iPod. Sometimes this can take up to an hour and during that time you cannot set a destination on the navigation system or change play lists. The should be an option to skip this update especially considering point one above.3 When you start up the car/system the navigation does not remember where you were when you last operated the vehicle. As a result it may take the system up to 5 minutes to determine your exact location even if your driving.4 There is no way to modify a destination with a detour selection. You must either cancel out your current route and select a new one or change your driving route and the system will update automatically.Positives1 Bluetooth connection is outstanding and the connected microphone works very well.2 navigating your play lists using the touch screen is easy once you master the art of how to scroll.3 The traffic conditions are usually pretty accurate when monitoring them in close proximity but unreliable if they are out too far >20 miles3 Sound quality is excellent and the ability to save your own equalizer settings is great.Overall a great unit that can be must better with software upgrades.
SLOW! I was very excited to get this unit and while it looks very nice it operates terribly slow! Start the car and you will have to wait up to a minute to be able to input the destination into the GPS and as you type the responsiveness is worse than devices 10 years old. My friend just bought a new 2011 Hyundai Elantra and the builtin GPS is phenomenal in comparison. His is responsive the second he starts the car. The Bluetooth option is also slow and often doesn't work. I have to switch from the radio back to Bluetooth for the device to begin working.
JUNK!! This unit is completely lacking features. If you are considering it you havent checked out units by Kenwood Sony etc. The interface is featureless the Ipod connection is constantly dropped the sound is average This unit is just not worth it and you are better off going with a company like Sony Clarion etc. Pioneer obviously doesnt care about this line so dont buy it.
Overall ok. Navigation and touchscreen are horrible. I bought this item a few months ago and I've been using it ever since. The overall quality is good. Sound quality is perfect I mean that's what Pioneer is good for.I like the fact that it supports a variety of media playback DVD Music Aha Pandora etc. This is really a plus. However I would like to say a few words on navigation and touchscreenNavigationJesus. This unit points me to a wrong way almost three times a month. I don't know how Pioneer collects map data but please don't take me into a dead end and tell me to go straight. The house number is really inaccurate too. Often times I need to have my iPhone navigating at the same time to make sure I can find the exact house number.Pioneer also does not seem to Uturn data. It just tells you to make a Uturn at the next intersection where at a lot of places it is prohibited.TouchscreenScrolling is good but it is weird that you can scroll to find songs but you can't scroll to find contacts. You have to use the arrows to navigate through your contact list. This is annoying.I'm sure for those who use smartphone everyday the responsiveness of this unit can only be rated as horrible. It's just like touchscreens back in 2000. Seriously you guys need to work on it.A few other minor problems like unable to display Asian characters voice recognition is much worse than Siri can't understand my accent etc.Overall I think it is a great product but Pioneer was in such a rush to push it to the market. There are quite a few ugly and easytofix bugs. Is it worth $900+? I'm not sure.
Save yourself the misery pioneer nav designs are shameful We have had a Pioneer Avic system for several years now and it is by far the most frustrating consumer product ever owned! I even tell people I think the designers should be put in the town square for public humiliation and so should their ancestors forever. It is unituitive requires parking brake and car in park as if my wife can't handle nav while I'm driving or vice versa. Try to adjust anything and the complicated menus are impossible. Buttons and volume control are pathetically small and impossible to handle when driving. Adjust volume hit the slightest bump power off. Also the worst navigation i have ever used and i have used many. misaligned. wrong road. wrong exits. dead end roads. the misery has gone on and on.
Excellent reciever with EVERYTHING built in I've had the Pioneer AVICZ130BT in my Crown Victoria for a few weeks now and am very impressed. The first time I turned it on I was impressed with the clarity over my older JVCbut that is expected. I love the built in HD radio and bluetooth no more extra modules hanging out behind the dash. I haven't gotten a chance to use the navigation much and I don't have satellite radio so that won't be used. One reason I got this headunit is because it can control my iPod touchthe JVC couldn't so far it is working great. I like being able to add custom splash screens just another step in a fully custom installation.

      • Great Product My boyfriend ordered this for me as an early Christmas gift. I love it. While it doesn't have all of the functions of some of the more expensive units bluetooth navigation it does more than expected. The quality of sound that this puts out with my stock speakers is MUCH better than my original head unit '03 CRV. I really couldn't be happier.
boss stereo This stereo is very decent for the money. The screen is huge. Sound is great. Dvd playback is perfect along with a neat interface while playing video. Flash drives work perfect with the usb interface. Have not tried SD card slot. Quality seems to be very good for a budget double din. Lots of input /output options with this unit. Has 2 video output plugs for extra screen's like for head rest screen's. Now for the cons. Even though small problems but I still want to point them out. First off the main menu list options that are not supported on this unit like Bluetooth/gps/tv/ect.

My experience with MS Streets and Trips and GPS Kudos to Amazon because the package arrived 2 days earlier than expected and the program works great. I'm still trying to get the GPS to work but that is ONLY because I am inside and it is still searching for the satellites. I'm looking forward to a good experience with this product once I get out on the road with it.
        Great
Great tons of poi's This product is as they say great for planning any type of excursion wether it's across town or across country. Makes planning a snap.
Streets and Trips I bought this as an update to a several year old version of Streets and Trips. It works fine and pretty much like the older version. However the older version would stop working on my Windows 7 PC and need to be restarted. This 2011 version does not do that. I do wish that Streets and Trips would display geographic features such as lakes rivers and mountains in more detail.
Microsoft Streets & Trips with GPS Locator 2011 Phoenix AZ A reasonable and inexpesive alternative or backup for any of the Garmin/TomTom/etc. GPS systems. Purchased for use in our motorhome since Garmin chose to discontinue support for their NRoute product. The product is not at all sophisticated but presents a decent display with voiceguidence for basic navigtation. The dongle GPS receiver has quite good reception sofar. One complaint is the volume level is quite low very difficult to hear the vocal turnbyturn instructions on my Toshiba laptop PC even with the volume tuned all the way up.
Please do not purchase this crap. I have owned Microsoft Streets and Trips 2002 and have used it successfully for years. I got a new computer for Christmas with Windows 7 so I updated the Microsoft Streets and Trips to 2011 with the GPS. Followed all of the directions when I click on the icon I just stare at the logo with the timer spinning.
Microsoft Streets and Trips works great love the night vision geat with relocating and mapping. you can never get lost using Microsoft Street and Trips with GPS antenna.
Mostly good I got this during a special price promotion on Amazon as I wanted S&T 2011 but didn't need the GPS. S&T loaded and works great as anticipated. The GPS unit is junk I have three of them in my accessory bag and none work worth a plug.

      • Keep Shopping I bought the Dual DVDN9131 at Walmart on 12310. Today is 3610 and I just shipped it back to Dual to be fixed or replaced. The unit worked fine when I first installed it but now when I try to use the blue tooth to make phone calls people cannot understand what I am saying. My voice is Garbled like I am talking under water or something. I contacted Dual customer support and they told me to ship it back for repair or replace. I don't know what to expect from here I have never owned any Dual products before. This radio seems to be a nice unit I just hope they take care of the problem in a timley manner.
piece of junk and amazon is not worth buying from ever again now i bought the dual 9131Dual XDVDN9131 4X50 watt with all the bells n whitles nav. bluetooth. 7 in screen ipod connector the piece of jjunk 1 month later doesnt turn on the creen doent open or when it does its a black screen my friend had the same problem with a dual head unit to our knowledge dual is not good to buy for anyone and to use amazon to get it i the lat thing anyone hould do they r horrible for customer service im done will never buy from them again or buy dual electronic save urself and dont ever use amazon ill be seeing amazon in court over this bs..
Could be better At first it was ok for the price but after a month the glitches started presenting them selfs. While listening to the Ipod it will randomly loose connection and say connecting. The GPS was good. Had problems with the dvd player.
Good with the bad The main thing I liked about this unit was how it looked. With that said I read all of the reviews and still bought it. The best thing about this unit is the GPS. It works flawlessly. I have even found shorter routes that I would have never known about using the navigation. Even when not using GPS it will tell you when you are going over the speed limit. Kinda of annoying at first like riding with your mom always telling you to slow down but has saved me from more than a couple of speeding tickets. My main grip about this unit is the USB feature. Started having problems with it not long after installing it. For some reason it gets stuck in the INTRO mode when using USB or Ipod for music. Major FAIL for this unit. This is the main feature as far as I'm concerned. No doubt that I probably just got a faulty unit but still in this day & time this should never be an issue with any headunit. USB and Ipod play back should be up to par on any headunit by now. So for this reason alone I will not be buying any more Duals.Other problems that I could not live with very poor radio reception & video quality not too good.
Partially Satisfied Beautiful product I had it professionally installed. 1st week was wonderful. Now there seems to be a problem with the screen flashing & then fading to white.
Think harder When the Unit work is ok a best. It really difficult to navigate I Pod folders from the screen or the remote and the search function is a joke.It does its job in other departments. This unit died on me after about six weeks of operation. The screen just decided one day it did not want to function anymore. Currently going through the RMA process with DUAL and it shows what type of company they are. They expect you to spend your money to ship one of there defective products back to them so they can fix what was not right the first time. Never again will I buy DUAL equipment.
Awesome Head Unit!!!! I just installed this head unit last week. And to tell you the truth it's working normally with no difficulties. I see some comments that are saying after 3 months to a year it starts to have issues. I guess I'll have to wait to see what happens. The best thing that I like about this unit is that it shock absor I live in New York and the roads are not that good pot holes bumps and etc. The unit holds it's on. So far so good it is too early to go full blast we see what happens after 3 months to a year I will post the verdict.
Super Device The Dual XDVDN9131 is fantastic. I installed it in my 2000 GMC when my radio began to give me problems. I am seldom pleasantly surprised by the quality of electronic devices however this multimedia receiver has performed exceptionally well. The navigation system is very accurate and easy to use. the DVD CD USB IPOD and Radio systems work exceedingly well are easy to use and have tremendous feature functionality. I highly recommend this product. In fact I am thinking of replacing my OEM radios in my 2005 Corvette and my 2009 Jeep Wrangler with this device.
Couldn't be happier! The vendor had really fast shipping. It showed up 2 days before the projected delivery date.I love this unit. The sound quality is awesome even before upgrading my speakers. My iPhone bluetooth connects automatically with out a hitch each time I get into the truck. I'm told that the included external mic reproduces sound well enough that I sound pretty natural during a call without straining or having to holler even in my noisy diesel truck. The backup camera feature is good I especially like it when hooking up a trailer. I'm now successful first time every time. It's a bit hard to see in direct sunlight but that would be the same with any brand's LCD screenThe Nav feature won't compete with a top of the line Garmin but one of those costs more than this entire unit and this one gets the job done just fine.I've been warned by those in the know that the flip screen won't last because it's not as robust as the one on a Kenwood. Most of the time I listen to my iPod set on 'random' or one or two radio stations so I just leave the flip screen retracted while I'm driving taking the vibration stresses off of the screen mechanism. All in all I'm very pleased with my purchase.

        • Why the bad reviews? I've spent almost a months reviewing different head units. My requirement was GPS and Bluetooth. I didn't really care about IPod integration etc.I ordered x920BT with mixed feelings seeing how many average and bad reviews I've seen from here and other sites. However this is #1 seller on Amazon and price vs. what you get can't really be beat. There are cheaper units out there but they are not even clost to this I visited a few big name stores and about 6 stereo installation shops to compare different units.I've had 3 pioneer head units before and finally decided to risk it and buy this. ESPECIALLY if you check out Pioneer website you will realize that they warranty units sold through Amazon which is what also made a big difference to me.GPS SUCKS??? Really? I don't really have a singel bad thing to say about the GPS so far. People complaining about long starts and satelite search times? mine takes about 15 secs to load a map from start and if I was parekd outside vs. the garage never noticed a lag in satelite location. Additionally I was lazy but if you actually attach the speed sensor wire you will solve some of the issues people might be having however I had not noticed a problem with not having it just adjust the settings to your driving speeds on roads and even when you go through a tunnel it will keep track of you.Bluetooth integration is pretty cool. Not like Ipod controls but I play Pandora on my EVO or mp3s via bluetooth and can control both with the factory steering controls requires an additional kit. Sound delivery of music via bluetooth is really good and phone quality is great. People hear me just fine and I hear them perfectly.
Great I dont understand how anyone would not like this product.I read several bad reviews and almost bought a differant model.Navigation is great!!! My wife has a BMW with stock navagation and thePioneer navi is better. DVD pic is great. al..
Map is horrible Though this functions just fine the GPS function sometimes takes you the long way. Other than that its a pretty nice unit. I have not checked for updates for the GPS but out of the box I would think twice before following the GPS directions as a simple 30 minute route may turn out to be 45 mintues.
Horrible Worst human interface ever. Try to tune an AM/FM station while driving huge screen and tune buttons are minute. I had to prop my hand on mt dashboard so I don't hit other bigger buttons and they are worried about entering navigation directions while driving. Sirius interface is the pits one line of text with hardly any info good luck to get the scrolling to work. Would never have bought this the manual that I reiviewed online about the sirius interface is a lie.
Possible FIX for Bluetooth linkingcalling Problem
Not worth the money. GPS Function 1/5 If you are planning to buy this unit to use primarily as a GPS device DON'T. The gps navigation software on this Pioneer unit is archaic compared to the Tom Toms if you have ever used one. The search function is down right unintelligent. Example each time I search for a location it will not bring up by the the places according to my current location. I will bring up every single location it finds in my state. In addition if you want to search for something specific you have to enter in the current State. After using it for 1 year I still can't get used to it. The gps software will get you from point A to B fine detours are quick route calculation is quick but the joy of getting from A to B with this navigation software is terrible.Bluetooth Phone Calls 2/5 I have paired many phones with this unit EVO 4G Samsung Epic 4G iPhone 4s And every single caller I talked to said that the call quality from my end is not clear. However I can hear them fine. Music playback from bluetooth connection is beautiful.Oh did you wanted to mute your unit? Please wait 5 seconds because that's how long you have to hold the mute button down for before it takes affect. If I had to do it again I would not buy Pioneer's unit and take my business elsewhere.
Great product a must buy Let me start with the best thing the price. The dealer installed wanted $1300. I paid $500 for this and $150 for the install. This allowed me to buy the back up camera and have that installed too.The next best thing is the Navi system. You dont have an external thing hanging on the windshield. The fit and finsh with the kit looks better than the factory nav system.Of course you also have streaming blue tooth songs contact etc. All have been mentioned before.
Under rated Pioneer I have to say I'm a little taken back by some of the negative reviews here. My X920BT works like a champ and rocks nice and hard. Talk about options! I can listen to a SD USB iPod Bluetooth audio tuner and CD. I think the interface could be a bit better but it's not a deal killer.
Disappointing Buyer Beware Really disappointed with this product and the terrible customer service I recieved from both Car Toys installer and Pioneer manufacturer. The problems are numerous terrible user interface poor sound quality outdated GPS graphics an unusable voice control system etc. It's not my unit alone I've had it replaced 3 times total of $400 laber costs and each time the new unit failed as well. After calling Pioneer technical support and venting I was confided that the voice control issues are well known and just nothing you can do about it. They suggested use the iPhone voice control. Well duh I would have saved myself $1200 if I was ok just doing that. I checked out the later model AVIC X930BT and it looks like they've made some strides in the user interface at least it has a knob to use to scan stations. Really if you want a hands free safe dialing package don't go for this one.
AVIC x920BT Great product i have had it in my 2004 explorer for about 3 months now. No complaints and works amazing. Note if you have a iphone you can control the iphone through this via bluetooth. I didn't know you could control it at first so i ended up buying a ipod connector. I recommend you have it professional installed i had mine professionally installed and it took him a good amount of time to finish and get everything tweaked correctly. It starts up slow but that is to be expected with any navigation unit. There are websites to help improve the unit as well but i haven't needed to do it. The speaker for the phone isn't the best. I have a SUV so i get a lot of car noise picked up by the speaker phone. Maps are basically uptodate for my area.
