  • To Good To Be True I learned my lesson when I purchased this item. I am not one to steer away from Kenwood which in my opinion is the best. But For the price i decided to give it a shot and ill tell you it was a mistake. I drive a cadillac catera which are nightmares to customize. This unit was not made to double din spec size and was to big for my bracket which i had to modify with a drimel and used my factory bracket. At this point i thought i had it in the bag. wrong again more modification took place when i was ready to install. After screwing with it for an hour i got it in place and it worked great the sound was pretty mediocre and so were the graphics for that matter. Tuning the unit setting the bass treble was a joke there was no control. After a week i uninstalled and shipped it back placed my old kenwood unit in until my new Kenwood DPX308U comes in. After a long explanation spend alittle more and get a JVC Sony Alpine Panasonic and or other major brand labels that have made a name for themselves. Stay away from the japanese products Because obviously they dont care about quality or if its going to fit they are just happy to make a sale.
Greatly exceeded expectations Incredible product. Simply put. Greatly exceeded my expectations for such a reasonably priced product! It was easily installed. Very user friendly and powerful enough for any sound system. Bluetooth quality is superior to the competition.
NOT iPOD COMPATIBLE I bought this under the impression that it would cooperate with my ipod.NopeI pulled it out and returned it.Everything else was cool the sound quality is great the screen is rad video playback is great blutooth feature works great. It does have programmable steering wheeel options the problem is finding the wires that you need to hook up to their wires. So I guess if you dont want it to work with your ipod then go for it. but the price difference for the upgrade is 20 bucks. I spoke with Planet Audio Tech support which by the way was a joke the guy was a total jerk through email and on the phone and I was informed that I needed a different model this model does not support anything over a 2gb drive through the usb port does not work with ipods and if I want to use my ipod I need to do it through the Aux input which i tried and didnt sound half as good as my stock radio did through the aux.Fortunately Amazon refunded my money and I purchased this model com/gp/product/B004ZGN246/ref=oh_o00_s00_i00_detailsThis model according to Planet Audio Tech support has the hardware needed to support iPods. So hopefully this time I am set.
a waste i bought this monitor and it didnt fit my deck. so i went to have it customized nobody wanted to work with the monitor because they said it would break the dash kit. the monitor doesnt fit most dash kits. so i went to sell it to yhe audio store nobody wanted it back.
Be smart enough to know what you are buying I purchased and installed this unit in an 03 Camery. It works great for what it is. I read all the reviews before buying and did my homework. you will need a wiring harness and a face plate appropriate to your vehicle both those items cost me about $10 total on amazon.you do need some basic understanding to install and some patience. if not just pay to have a pro install it. the unit is slightly larger than a standard 2 din. so if you can't use a dremmel tool don't buy this item.If you are looking for a Kenwood or higher end brand with all that the added price includes don't buy this unit and don't complain about this unit for it's short comings vs. the high end radios.most who are looking at this unit are looking for a low cost quality unit that has the basics. this unit has those and more. DVD works great it is not great in the direct sun big shocker the bluetooth works great for pandora or music off your android/iphone. the call quality isn't phenominal but adequate.contrary to another reviewer ipod works just fine no problems there.controlling the bass/treble and fade of speakers isn't easy on this unit. and there aren't visual graphics on the screen when playing music to me those who want/need that option are insane who watches their screen for pretty graphics while driving?I installed this before a long road trip with the wife and kids it worked great and is a nice upgrade over most standard OEM stereos.
Great unit Great seller!!! The unit works pretty well seller shipped on time and was happy about that. DVD is good quality very easy to use. Great controls for the money. Bluetooth connects well and makes very clear calls. Would recommend unit and the seller!!! Got a rear view camera and works well with the system installed in my Camry in about 30 minutes. Had to contact the seller 3kingsaudio.com and they were very helpful.
Awsome!!! I couldn't believe the price for what is offered. I was worried that it would be made very cheap. Boy was I wrong this thing is solid! I bought this as a gift for my son and I could not be more happy with it. He loves it and this thing works flawless. It even plays dvd's that you make and write. It does it all! I have used the bluetooth as well and works fantastic. The screen is bright and easy to see and picture is very nice.
Pay extra = extra quality I typically do not write reviews but in this case I don't want someone else making this same mistake. So here goes I ordered this screen after seeing other reviews of satisfied customers thinking it was a bargain for the price. I recieved the screen on time with no shipping delays of any kind. I immediately unboxed it and began taking my dash apart. After hooking up the wiring harness adaptor antenna and then plugging it in wala! its on but nothing is coming out of the speakers After playing with the settings still nothing. I tried scanning for radio stations and could not find any. I then tried a cd and it worked perfect. Bluetooth seemed to work flawlessly as well. So I then thought possibly my stock radio antennaeven though i tried it with and without an adaptor may be malfunctioning. So I set out to purchase a universal car stereo antenna. I plugged in the universal antenna and still nothing. No sound nor would it even find a station. I then decided to call Planet Audio there response was to try reseting it by pushing a hidden button with a pen tried that reseted itdidnt work either they then told me to just send it back to where I ordered and ask for an exchange. With customer service as simple as just try pressing the reset button No Thanks! I will just ask for a refund and get a better product from a wellknown manufacturer. I ended up going with a Kenwood DDX419 for $352.00 shipped on ebay with a 1 year warrantyhope this review is helpfulProsNot a bad price if the unit worked flawlesslyBluetooth worked wellCD worked WellAmazon gladly paid for return shipping and refunded money within two weeksConsPoor cutomer serviceHad to reinstall factory radio and wait for refund to get something elseScreen quality looks like Nintendo graphics put on a 7 inch flat screenRadio/tuner did not work at all and yes i tried switching all the bandsUSA1/USA2/EUROPE/etcThink of the hassle of hooking up all the wires only to find out something doesnt work Do you really want that headache!?If this product has problems like this out of the box can you imagine how it will function one month two months or three months down the road!?Okay I'm done ranting just for your own sake do yourself a favor and buy a name brand product such as Pioneer Sony Kenwood who have good reputations in car audio.
GOOD PRODUCT I recommend this to anyone who wish a DVD player. Its just good for the prize saves bulk which could have been spent on the expensive known and big name maker. It was as described. Fit in my Honda crv 2000 so perfectly and very easy to install. Just about 3045 mins..The screen display is as good as other big brand the Bluetooth responded very nicely. The only glitch is the remote controller.. its useless doesn't respond on time so I got tire of it and throw it away. Otherwise would have given it a 5 star.A t first I was scared of returning in case it malfulction because the warranty only applies to US buyers and I m using it right now in Nigeria.
Awesome This stereo suprised me I was kinda worried for the price and everything that came with it that it was too good to be true. After I read some reviews and they were mostly good I took the bait. Well first off the install was as simple as just a standard stereo. By the way this is illegal but if you want video while driving for like kids or passanger plice the pink parking wire into the black ground wire. This stereo has a back up camera wire and also has steering wheel wiring on the back I did not expect that. So if you buy this product and see three wires that say key2 and ground1 they are for your steering wheel if you have that option. Well after install it powered right up this stereo has so many features. You can basically hook up anything to it Sd card aux ipod bluetooth cd dvd tv gps. I seen someone say something about the quality of the video as not so great. Well it worried me the whole time I was just down to the saying I guess you get what you pay for The quality was perfect almost as good as blueray.

    • Great InDash Navigation and DVD Player Great head unit and the installation was actually easy for the amount of items I was installing. Marked down because no cage to install item. I opened up my dash so it would allow room for the double din but I didn't have a cage to install item. I would recommend picking up the Pioneer Double Din Installation Kit at the same time. Makes installation so much easier and you don't have to tear apart your entire dash to remove your head unit.I would recommend getting the rear view camera XM adapter and the IPod Cable as well. Just the rear view camera and not the Parking Assist unless you have a few hundred more to splurge. For me and my small car the camera alone is enough. Also to find the reverse indicator wire simply find the wire going back to the reverse lights in the wire harness that you are going to pass with your camera wire and your XM Adapter wire and splice in like you do with the parking brake wire. For those not in the United States or driving off road or installing into the rear of a vehicle like a limo or camper trailer you can find videos on Youtube to bypass the parking brake by moving the mute wire and it works. If you are planning on bypassing this so you can watch movies while driving know that this is illegal in the United States.
Best nav unit out at the current time
Won't regret this buy I didn't buy this off of Amazon but this is for those of you who are contemplating on buying this. I would have to say that it's definitely worth it. I've only had this unit for about a week but here are my thoughts so far. I bought this unit for my 2011 Scion tC and it fits perfectly and looks great. I even made the buttons match the interior of my car. There is very little glare for the sun and the unti automatically dims when the head lights are turned on. I love the iPod intergration easy to change playlist or change/search for songs. It also displays the album art which I love. One thing I don't like however is if the title of an artist or song doesn't fit it will not scroll through. The Pandora app is awesome too. Just plug your iPod up and start streaming. Bookmark artist thumbs up or down songs straigh from the unit. If you don't have an iPhone or iTouch I would probably look into a different unit. This one is pretty much centered around them. The Bluetooth works pretty good great sound quality. During a call it also keeps a pop up menu open to easliy end a call or change the volume. If you dont like the menu you can also miniamize it. I havent't used the navigation to get anywhere yet. One thing I have noticed if you have the map up while driving and pass by a grocery store or gas station the map shows icons for these and others I found that pretty cool. Another feature I like is the ability to set your own splash screen. Especially since this unit takes a little while to start up. I'm usually out of my parking space and driving by the time this thing starts up. That is the only thing I dont like about this unit so far. It also has a traffic tuner and built in HD radio tuner that I haven't tried yet Mostly listening to my iTouch or Pandora. If you're like me and like to do a lot of research before a big purchase youtube this unit. There are tons of vidoes about the things this unit can do. I'm also more than willing to answer any questions.
Piece of junk What can I say I had high expectations for this model. Dont waste your money. You need a GPS? Use your phone the amount of technology is here is silly compared to what you can do on your smart phone. You need to pay for map updates the map is slow the search screen is horrible to put in a new location.Wish I could have my money back and spend it on something else. In this day and age I expect something of much higher quality. To hook up your iphone you need to buy an additional $50 cable.
Overall good unit but a bit buggy. I had this unit installed several months ago and my overall impression of the unit is good however there are several issues that pioneer needs address in firmware updates.Negatives1 As with most units the voice command system is mostly useless and not worth your time.2 The voice recognition updates every time you start the vehicle system when connected to an iPod. Sometimes this can take up to an hour and during that time you cannot set a destination on the navigation system or change play lists. The should be an option to skip this update especially considering point one above.3 When you start up the car/system the navigation does not remember where you were when you last operated the vehicle. As a result it may take the system up to 5 minutes to determine your exact location even if your driving.4 There is no way to modify a destination with a detour selection. You must either cancel out your current route and select a new one or change your driving route and the system will update automatically.Positives1 Bluetooth connection is outstanding and the connected microphone works very well.2 navigating your play lists using the touch screen is easy once you master the art of how to scroll.3 The traffic conditions are usually pretty accurate when monitoring them in close proximity but unreliable if they are out too far >20 miles3 Sound quality is excellent and the ability to save your own equalizer settings is great.Overall a great unit that can be must better with software upgrades.
SLOW! I was very excited to get this unit and while it looks very nice it operates terribly slow! Start the car and you will have to wait up to a minute to be able to input the destination into the GPS and as you type the responsiveness is worse than devices 10 years old. My friend just bought a new 2011 Hyundai Elantra and the builtin GPS is phenomenal in comparison. His is responsive the second he starts the car. The Bluetooth option is also slow and often doesn't work. I have to switch from the radio back to Bluetooth for the device to begin working.
JUNK!! This unit is completely lacking features. If you are considering it you havent checked out units by Kenwood Sony etc. The interface is featureless the Ipod connection is constantly dropped the sound is average This unit is just not worth it and you are better off going with a company like Sony Clarion etc. Pioneer obviously doesnt care about this line so dont buy it.
Overall ok. Navigation and touchscreen are horrible. I bought this item a few months ago and I've been using it ever since. The overall quality is good. Sound quality is perfect I mean that's what Pioneer is good for.I like the fact that it supports a variety of media playback DVD Music Aha Pandora etc. This is really a plus. However I would like to say a few words on navigation and touchscreenNavigationJesus. This unit points me to a wrong way almost three times a month. I don't know how Pioneer collects map data but please don't take me into a dead end and tell me to go straight. The house number is really inaccurate too. Often times I need to have my iPhone navigating at the same time to make sure I can find the exact house number.Pioneer also does not seem to Uturn data. It just tells you to make a Uturn at the next intersection where at a lot of places it is prohibited.TouchscreenScrolling is good but it is weird that you can scroll to find songs but you can't scroll to find contacts. You have to use the arrows to navigate through your contact list. This is annoying.I'm sure for those who use smartphone everyday the responsiveness of this unit can only be rated as horrible. It's just like touchscreens back in 2000. Seriously you guys need to work on it.A few other minor problems like unable to display Asian characters voice recognition is much worse than Siri can't understand my accent etc.Overall I think it is a great product but Pioneer was in such a rush to push it to the market. There are quite a few ugly and easytofix bugs. Is it worth $900+? I'm not sure.
Save yourself the misery pioneer nav designs are shameful We have had a Pioneer Avic system for several years now and it is by far the most frustrating consumer product ever owned! I even tell people I think the designers should be put in the town square for public humiliation and so should their ancestors forever. It is unituitive requires parking brake and car in park as if my wife can't handle nav while I'm driving or vice versa. Try to adjust anything and the complicated menus are impossible. Buttons and volume control are pathetically small and impossible to handle when driving. Adjust volume hit the slightest bump power off. Also the worst navigation i have ever used and i have used many. misaligned. wrong road. wrong exits. dead end roads. the misery has gone on and on.
Excellent reciever with EVERYTHING built in I've had the Pioneer AVICZ130BT in my Crown Victoria for a few weeks now and am very impressed. The first time I turned it on I was impressed with the clarity over my older JVCbut that is expected. I love the built in HD radio and bluetooth no more extra modules hanging out behind the dash. I haven't gotten a chance to use the navigation much and I don't have satellite radio so that won't be used. One reason I got this headunit is because it can control my iPod touchthe JVC couldn't so far it is working great. I like being able to add custom splash screens just another step in a fully custom installation.

      • Great Radio/DVD/CD player! I bought this because I work in security and use my own vehichle on the job. It can get pretty boring most nights and dragging my laptop around to play videos gets to be a bit much sometimes. The video quality is excellent on the 7 inch widescreen display. Not to mention that it plays a wide variety of formats which is what grabbed me that more expensive players don't touch DVD DVD±R/RW VCD SVCD AVI DivX/XviD MPEG1 MPEG2 JPEG CD CDR CDRW MP3 and WMA. I download everything so that is very important to me so's that I don't have to spend time reencoding videos. The only time it didn't play a video for me was because it was an HD Xvid unbeknownst to me.The audio sounds awesome on my stock speakers Pontiac Aztek with surround sound on video playback.I also listen to audiobooks 90% of the time at work and being able to burn them onto a CDR/DVDR as MP3's is a wonderful thing without having to use multiple discs to burn out an 8 hour book. I can easily fit 8 books onto a DVDR. The only glitch I've found is when an audio segment is over 1 hour in length. The player begins to replay the track from the beginning of the track at about 1 hour 15 minutes into the track and is really annoying to get it back into place. So I suggest you break up the long segments ie. Audible downloads into smaller 2050 minute tracks with Audiobook Cutter or Audacity or any other audio editing software.
excellent quality radio for a bargain price i love this radio!!! it was a little tricky at first but eventually i got accustomed to the new controllers. The thing that i love about this radio is that it can function as an ordinary radio with the lcd screen stored inside so im now less worried about burglars breaking out my windows to get inside my car. The time answer is really fast the dvd reading is fast the lcd touch response is fast an accurate and the cd/dvd player is fast!!!. It came with his own ipod cable. The only thing that i dont like is the lack of controlling features for the ipod and when the radio is turned on and you dont have any music you can hear the little fan running out fast behind this thingi live in a tropical climate city temperatures from 95 F degrees and so The sound is cristal clear.

meet the expectation The product meet the expectations well design. The screen is very sharp and the touch screen is very easy to use. The sound quality also is also.
Boss bv9993 This in dash DVD player is very good for the price excellent sound and clear display but have NOT a buildin Bluetooth and the touch display is not so good also have support for upgrade for TV anyway is worth for the price.
Wow for the price I paid for it it stop working in 2 weeks. The tv screen was stuck. It was just horrible.
A decent touchscreen car radio for a low price. I was looking for a new radio to replace my old stock for my 2001 hyndai sonata. I was researching for a month at least. I just could not decide whether I should save 50 dollars and get a 1 DIN after class radio that has the standard things that I would need or go all out and get what a really wanted which was a 1 DIN pull out touchscreen like the one in my dad's truck. I could have gotten rid of the storage space and put a 2 DIN touchscreen but I decided against that because 1 I wanted the storage space very much. And 2 I didn't want people seeing that I had a touchscreen in my dash or else they'd be very tempted to steal it. So in the end I settled on this radio. The Boss BV9993. It has ALMOST all the features I wanted in a touchscreen. Everything EXCEPT navigation. When I was looking up the features I asked over and over again if it was navigation ready and never received an answer. Well for all who are wondering.

        • great product This product is everything I hoped for. The monitor resolution could be higher and there could be more shortcut buttons have to press the screen 5 times to turn off the subwoofer or 5 times to choose song repeat but having an indash cd/dvd changer is sweet. The graphics are cool and sound quality it great. I have a sexy car and this fits right in.Cons doesn't seem to be an hd radio doesn't display full song or artist names if they are long not even scrolling.
Pretty nice.. I definitely like this unit. It's large and works well no problems yet whatsoever. My only gripes and they are small are that the touch screen is not as responsive as I would like and that the displays contrast ratio is low so watching movies during the daytime isn't really an option.
Great Value For Money I installed this in my Subaru Forester 2009. It did what they said it would. It is very user friendly and the sharpness of the display is impressive. I am completely satisfied.

Handsome unit but lacking in basic functionality The Pioneer AVHP6000DVD is a handsome unit and fit well in the overall design of the dash of my '05 Nissan 350Z. Since I already have a navigation system this unit provided me with what was missing from the OEM system. What I was looking for most was the ability to have an iPod interface bluetooth and rear camera access. Luckily for me I found this unit on Amazon for a much cheaper than retail price since I had to actually pay for all of these options by way of add on components. Basically nothing I was looking for was built into the unit. The bluetooth works well and provides crisp clear conversations even in my roadster version of the Z! The additional road noise doesn't seem to be picked up by the other party. While it can pair with multiple phones it assigns address books that are downloaded to the phone it got it from instead of one that can be used universally with any of the paired phones you have in the system. I just got an iPhone and haven't figure out how to down load the address book/contacts versus the straight forward method for my Blackberry. What would be nice is an option to manually add entries to an address book that could be used by any of the paired phones.
