awsome amp for an awsome price This is an awesome amp for the price it works perfectly nothing wrong I have nothing bad to say about it.
very poor equipment substandard To rate this stereo as poor would be a high appraisal. It was a total disappointment and I regret that I purchased it. The remote did not work at all and it did not perform as advertised. I regret buying this receiver/amp and returned it as soon as I could. Sony has had a mix of past accomplishments that resulted in various levels of quality. This product is a poor example of a company that has been known for many exceptional electronic consumer products. Do not buy this product.
Stinks. This didn't work. So I am realty pissed. And the directions are ridiculous. There are like fifteen inputs and the stupid stupid directions don't include a quick set up. Maybe mine is a lemon from china because we worked for two and a half hours trying to get it to work.
Arrived DOA Please note that we received this item recently and after it did not work found that the main circuit board had many cracks that prevented the unit from operating. Some of the cracks are along some critical logic lines feeding the micro processor and it is next to impossible to jump these cracks without specialised tools.

Great receiver if all you want is a good radio for your shop Being a Sony personI searched all over for a cheap receiver to replace a Dynex receiver that had lasted just about a year before going south.Keep away from Dynex Not the first Dynex that I had problems with.This small receiver did the trick for me for what I needed.If your going to use it as your primary receiverthen I would think about a more expense one from Sony.Very easy to set up.Very good quality sound.The remote is a little confusing with buttons that you will never use like most remotes.I highly recommend this receiverif all that you want are basic features.
It's a Sony. The STRDH100 lives up the quality I've come to expect from Sony over the years. The only drawback I find is they no longer include the switched electrical outlet on the rear panel that allows one to plug in another component that cannot be powered off/on remotely. From my limited research that seems to be true with all of the stereo receivers offered now.
Just Right I was looking for a quality unit that was easy to setup and use for outsider speakers. Sony name comes with great quality and was easy to setup. Sound is great with Bose outside speakers. So this unit was just right for my needs.
sony str dh100 receiver Excellent base model. Using for a garage system. Good no frills basic receiver. Sony has always been reliable for me. I'm using it for 34 sets of speakers but it only has outlets for 2 sets. I'll be getting a speaker selector to control 34 sets of speakers in different areas. The receiver is working well. It has a media button on the back but I already have an AV cord which plugs into my mp3 player and ipod which works well. Great value for the price.Update I bought a pair of older big pioneer speakers on craislist. This reciever makes them sound really nice great sound and power.
Okay system for the need This unit was purchased for my son's bedroom to give him a little added sound for his TV IPOD and gaming system. Features are okay and quality pretty good but just did not get that I love it feeling I was expecting from Sony. Hey when your cheap like me you get what you pay for. This unit was worth the sale price of $99.00 I paid for it and my son has no complaints so I guess that is worth something. Easy enough to hook up and controls not bad do not use the remote as I have it set up with a direct TV remote so can't comment on that.

Nice system.. I really like it there are a few corks that I am trying to figure out like the volume. when it sits for a minute I go to turn it down and it goes to the max volume. I also having a hard time trying to figure out the navigation system only because the is no instructions on it. That is my two complaints. everthing else is all that i really like it and I am glad I bought it.
Well worth it for the money and quality This unit looks great quality and operation for a fraction of what other brands sell for. Not being a professional installer I was able to replace the existing RV's single DIN cassette stereo with this great looking double DIN unit without much fuss especially that my RV's dash has access panels over the dash layout making it a snap to install and wire. The BT work great as well as the NAV features.
Do Not Buy This Unit! I bought this on Amazon because of their return policy. After doing a lot of research on this radio and finding most were negative I figured it may be worth a shot if I had it installed by a pro. I paid a professional installer to install it as recommended by the few people who had good things to say about this radio. First this radio is NOT a standard DoubleDin radio. Any installer must fabricate a faceplate to make it look 'decent'. Second all of the posts that complain about the volume spikes are true I chalked that up to improper wiring thinking the users had wired the radio incorrectly. While driving for no reason the volume spikes to maximum. FOR NO REASON. I almost got into an accident that is how scary it was. Once that happened 10 minutes after installation and $151.00 for the install later I went back and had it taken out! This is a driving hazard!Some features that should be mentioned is the Bluetooth streaming. You cannot stream or use the telephone while using the GPS. So if you are on the phone prepare to get lost! The quality of the Bluetooth streaming music AWFUL. Plugging the iPhone directly into the aux port gave much better results. The sound of this unitcompared to my stock radio is just awful! There were a few reviews that stated it is impossible to see the screen during the day..they are 100% correct. The only positive note about this unit is that it uses iGo as the GPS. It boots fairly quickly and seems accurate.

Does not work as advertised the picture clearly shows a bluetooth icon on the bottom row second to right. But it does not have bluetooth apparently the model PTID7002nrb is the one that includes bluetooth yet they use one picture for both products. DVD player did not work at all it would display 'ERR Disc' after trying to load it I even tried a brand new DVD right out of the package only to see the same message. USB flash drive of 8 GB did not work either as the screen would just freeze when trying to load it although the instructions did state a 16GB flash drive would work so I'm wondering if perhaps that's the only size that will work correctly. But I do not have the interest of finding out because I am returning this junk of a product. The only thing that worked correctly was the radio but would get a fuzzy background sound if turned up as was mentioned by a previous reviewer. Awesome product! Love this unit! I installed it into my Chrysler 300 and it is amazing I love the sound the DVD quality is great the controls are fairly simple and the detachable faceplate is a wonderful feature. All the wires were marked this unit came with more than I expected for RCA outs it has a set for Front Rear and Sub to your amplifier. Looks great and sounds great in my car.The only downfall I have is the GUI is not great and there are no more than 3 GUI's programmed. Good replacement over stock has some minor flaws. I bought this unit to replace the stock unit in my 2002 Audi A6. I was sick of listening to my zune over the fm transmitter and not being able to hear any details of the music.PROS Has tons of nice features and hookups GPS Bluetooth Ipod etc. Nice large touchscreen interface Double Din size single din slot! AUX in my stock did not haveCONS If you turn the volume up about half way on the unit there is an annoying buzzing noise. You can only drown it out with loud music. So far this happens over AUX in only with any device or cable I use. The volume control is awful. While in Aux in mode you have to touch the volume button small button at top of screen then tap or hold a small round + or sign. If you are driving and trying to adjust the volume its EXTREMELY dangerous. The + or button are about 1/4 size on the screen and if you miss them it will exit out of the volume adjustment mode so you have to press the volume button all over again. The only way I have prevented this is to turn the volume half way up when I first start the car then adjust the volume on my mp3 player mounted to dash while driving. I can see no safe way to adjust the volume on this device while driving unless you have a passenger do it for you.All in all this is a great replacement for my stock unit. Its well worth the money and has tons of features packed in. I'm glad I bought this but it could use a few tweaks. Awesome buy!!!! Excellent money saver here!ProsMusic Very good sound quality. It constantly looses memory even after wiring the yellow battery wire directly to the battery. Look it's not the best no doubt. But I used every function and had been a previous owner of a system I personally paid over $1k from pioneer. I choose this cause it works does much more and gives you plenty of options.
